Communicative Disorders Assistant
Cliona graduated in 2023 from Lambton College to become a Communicative Disorders Assistant. She previously received her Honours Bachelor of Arts from University of Toronto specializing in Psycholinguistics with a double minor in Psychology and French, in 2020.
Her program placements include delivering private speech therapy in a youth clinic for those under 18, and delivering speech therapy in the stroke unit at St Thomas Elgin General Hospital.
Cliona chose this field because she is passionate about access to communication – whether written, drawn, signed or spoken. She’s invested in the process of accessing sound to better facilitate access to spoken language and improve people’s ability to participate in their lives.
She is interested in continuing studies at the Masters level in Speech Therapy or Audiology.
