Patti Hinton, Audiologist
Patti Hinton has provided audiology services at Parkwood Institute for 28 years covering brain injury, spinal cord injury, geriatric and stroke rehab as well as providing care to Parkwood’s veterans. For the past two years, Patti’s work has been focused on providing rehabilitation to persons with post-concussive syndrome and mild traumatic brain injury. She has supervised Western Audiology grad students for 26 years and has taught aural rehabilitation and provided guest lectures at Western as well. Patti served on the London board of the Canadian Hearing Society and helped develop their local aural rehabilitation group.
Patti will talk about her involvement with the Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) outpatient program and audiology’s role in assessment and treatment of post-concussive syndrome and mild Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
